What's the deal with the blurring line?

Sometimes, what I read seems so real that I'm not always sure it didn't really happen!
For example, I am quite certain that Marcellus really never was the same after The Robe.

Moving Day

Laura's new home - we are thankful for good friends with a spare bedroom! We got the bed, the desk, and the bookshelves in the room. What more does one need?

Flooding

Laura drove from Chicago back to Holland Friday night. Big storms were tracking across the area. Michelle watched on radar until her power went out, then Laura's friends Kristin & Noah watched the radar as Laura drove home in a pocket between severe storms! They were all around her, but she was in the eye, as it were! Could there have been a "hedge of protection" around her? Ten miles outside Holland, she met the storms. The rain was heavy and Holland was very flooded. After going through high water, the car went out, and Laura spent some time in a Walgreen parking lot. There are no pictures, maybe because Laura was focused on other things. But I thought it was like an island in the sea. After a time, she was rescued, and her parents were able to rest easier! (Thank you, Jon!) Fortunately, her car was better when it dried out, and this picture is not hers!

And more from Texas

More from Texas

While in San Antonio, I felt compelled to drive by Renker. I wished the house was still for sale so I could see the inside. I like the new front door. The lampposts by the driveway are a nice touch, but they seem a little out of place, like they should be in the country somewhere. We didn't get out at Mac, but we did wander around the church courtyard, which looks much the same as it did years ago, when we had picnics and fellowships there. Below is the building that was the sanctuary when we were teenagers; the current one was built not long before we were married. As I walked around, I remembered so many seasons of life at this place --
  • Here I was a young teen, questioning everything I'd been taught
  • Here I was an older teen finding answers and embracing my faith as my own
  • Here I was married, beginning a new journey
  • Here I was a young mom, watching my little girls go to VBS
  • Here I was watching my parents live their retirement years in service and love with good friends
  • Here I was watching Mom & Dad's 50th anniversary celebration
  • Here I was watching my parents age surrounded by a loving church family until they could no longer live alone
It was bittsweet standing there, but I am grateful. We drove by Avenida Prima too and saw Craig's old house, the one he nearly burned down.
