What's the deal with the blurring line?

Sometimes, what I read seems so real that I'm not always sure it didn't really happen!
For example, I am quite certain that Marcellus really never was the same after The Robe.

At the Park (Part 4 from a Guest)

Crying (Part 3 from a Guest)

I was very upset (over not being allowed to go into the neighbors' yard) and my cry was full of intensity and tears. Wouldn't you know Papa started crying too, and I had to go and comfort him?

Sliding (Part 2 from a Guest)

I Melons (Special Guest Contributor)

These melons were especially good. Ammy thinks the way I say "melon" sounds a lot like the elvish word for friend, "mellon." If you ask me to smile for the camera, I know what to do! I enjoy youtube videos, especially 5 little monkeys and this new one I found about ducks.

TICK WARNING!

I hate it when people forward bogus warnings, and I have even done it myself a couple times unintentionally... but this one is real, and it's important. So please send this warning to everyone on your e-mail list.

If someone comes to your front door saying they are checking for ticks due to the warm weather and asks you to take your clothes off and dance around with your arms up, DO NOT DO IT!! THIS IS A SCAM!! They only want to see you naked.

I wish I'd gotten this yesterday. I feel so stupid.

Famous Runner!

The following video image can be found at exactly 9 minutes 32 seconds into the the "2007 Race Highlights" video on the Chicago Marathon website: Need to see a little closeup? I think there's also a shot of the back of this famous runner's hat at about 9:20.

Laura and Jon

So glad we got to share the weekend with Laura and Jon. It was fun to get to know Jon better. We also are quite sure that our unlikely reign as Euchre champs will be short-lived! (I'm still not sure it wasn't part of a "Let the woookie win" activity!)

Prince Caspian

We enjoyed seeing Prince Caspian yesterday. My favorite part had to be Reepicheep, but then that's one of my favorite parts of the book tooAnd I also really liked Lucy. Here is Trumpkin. There were some things that one wonders about, like why did they change this or that, but on the whole, I think they did a good job. It's worth seeing again, like maybe next weekend?

Playing with Slides

I've enjoyed having a little time to play with some ancient slides. There are many many more, but here is a little preview of things to come.

Dr. Bry

Bryan's all graduated now! We're so proud!Below, you can see his really cool hood that only doctors get.And here's a bunch of proud Scheffers. We all went to dinner afterwards at an Italian restaurant downtown. (I'm kind of embarrassed about the glow behind my head. I know that photoshop can remove it, but I can't figure it out and it's taking too long, so there it is. Can you imagine how many shots you'd have to take to get this effect if you were trying for it?)After we got home, there was graduation cake, decorated by the dad. (In case you need a little help, that's Bryan on his brand new bike, wearing his cap and gown, with his hood streaming behind him.)
