We are here!

Not a great shot, but the only one of both of us so far. It seems the little tripod was among the many things we forgot. This is my favorite spot so far. We stopped here and climbed around the rocks and listened to the waves crashing on the rocks below and felt the breeze in our hair and pledged to return early one morning with a thermos of hot coffee. Here is Dad taking pictures at that same point. I think there are many beaches, but mostly rocky ones. This one actually has sand, and it is named, you guessed it, Sand Beach. It was quite warm, and many people were playing in the waves. I was wishing we had brought swim suits, and wondering if it'd be worth it to buy some. We let the waves wash over our feet, and IT WAS SOOOOO COLD YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE IT! I thought when water was that cold it was ice. It reminded me of Maxey Pool in Lubbock. Forget the swim suits. . . Below, you can see the Universal Sign for Toothache. This is actually an imitation, because though the Actual Toothache looks much like this, one would not want to risk photographing a Toothache Sufferer. This is what the roads through the park look like. Very nice driving, but we can't wait to get our bikes in the morning, and bike and hike this place. We drove the Park Loop Road just to get an overview of the park. This is on Cadillac Mountain, about 1500 feet. Not so very high, compared to the Rockies at 14,000. But it's pretty impressive to be there and have a glimpse of the ocean. Makes you feel like you're looking down at a relief map. And here we are at our B&B!
